About Reagan
Reagan Vanoss was a 10-year-old fifth-grader at Fairfield West Elementary who touched the lives of everyone she met with her kindness, joy, and infectious smile. She passed away on May 11, 2021, but her spirit lives on through the Purple Monkey Project.
The project is named after Reagan's favorite stuffed animal and color - her beloved purple monkey. Through scholarships and awards, we continue to spread the kindness and joy that Reagan embodied every single day.

The Reagan Vanoss Spirit Award (RVSA) honors students who embody the joy, kindness, and competitive spirit that defined Reagan. Selected by their coach or instructor, each recipient exemplifies positivity, sportsmanship, and a love for their peers and activity. Award winners receive a framed certificate and a $500 scholarship in recognition of their impact.
